United used to stand for quality, but it certainly doesn't today.
It's corporate attitudes like this that will drive people to the likes of Virgin America.
It does not make it ok, but to say that you would not go to United because of things like this is absurd. The quality of all major airlines have diminished along with morale. If you think your going to find Utopia Airlines in this day and age you're in the wrong industry. Get a job with some clown feet and a red nose and you will be much happier.
