I took the job at Eagle when the first flow through agreement came out. My intent was to get some 121 time and get on with a major ASAP. The "lost decade" messed up all those plans. Fortunately the flow started back up and I eventually made it to AA. It was nice to be on captain pay at a good regional having a great quality of life, knowing I was going to flow. No worries about interviewing/job fairs etc. like my buddies at other regionals. I would pick a company with a flow for this reason. You can put your career on autopilot and enjoy life outside of aviation while you're young. Most guys at other regionals are constantly trying to escape to LCCs etc. Then they try and bail out of there to a major because it's not their dream job. Envoy was a great place to be for 16 years. I have no complaints. My quality of life was excellent. The pay was great, the 401k match was really good, and travel benefits on AA was nice. Good luck!
