I agree that insults, name calling, and childish behavior do nothing benificial for any serious discussion. To me these forums are a great source of information about a pilot's personal perspective on their career. Everyone will have different view points, opinions, and persepective based on their experiences. Not all will be correct, and many may just use this forum to vent frustrations, however I believe there is a great opportunity to gain insight through the aggregate of posts.
I have never claimed to know the future or have absolute certainty about the opions I have expressed. I have been wrong many times in the past and I am sure I will be wrong again. But I did spend the beginning of my career working for an investment firm located downtown in New York and from my time there I learned much about analyzing the censored news stories and proxys corporation will print and that a true valuation of a company is made more clearly by using multiple sources of information and the using your own knowledge and experience. I also learned that money is not everything, and left that career path to pursue other interests.
The aerospace industry is certainly one of the most interesting to analyze because of the volatility of multiple factors that effect its performance. The effect of unpredictable rulers of oil rich nation states' output on the global fuel prices, the management and union strategies, global competition, and the consumers' constantly changing tastes combine in a capital intensive industry which is very unpredictable long term and very interesting to speculate on. Yet it is not impossible to link many pieces of information together combined with personal experience to create an opinion which may or may not be true. But I believe there is value to others opinions and I will continue to share mine and allow you to chose for yourself wether mine has value as well.
TL/DR This forum can have good information or just be vented frustration, you choose what value it has.
