Seen it happen wayyy tooo many times.

Back when it was American Eagle, lots of guys would conveniently leave of the Eagle part. Heard it in many bars in the DFW/FTW area.
Of course, I/we would ask what a/c the flew and they would respond with Saab or Candair or Embrair.

Folks that worked under the Delta regional contracts did the same thing.
