We use a seniority bid system to determine pilot schedules within each base. Generally, our pilots begin and end their day in their base, so they are home every night. This may, however, require pilots to relocate to their base."

By generally, what is implied here? Thanks.
That means that the vast majority of pilots are home every night. Cape Air doesn't do 'trips' like most airlines. There are a handful of 'SVT' pilots, which stands for sick/vacation/temporary duty coverage. Those are generally junior captains who fill in wherever someone is on vacation, etc, and they stay in a hotel for a few days at a time. But 95% of the time you are doing day trips only. QOL is good if you live in base, however commuting at Cape Air is not recommended!
