First Year FO pay is currently $10.20/ duty hour. Unlike most airlines, you get paid by duty hour, not flight hour. So you get paid the whole day you are at work, not just flying. Usually a 40 hour minimum per week, with overtime paid at time and a half. $20,000/year would be the average. Most people aren't FO for a full year though, depending on how many hours you come in with. You will upgrade as soon as you hit 1500 hours and go up to $17/hr
Thanks, that's very useful information. Have about 350hrs at the moment, working on my commercial. Wondering if it would be worth flight instructing or doing this when I graduate. I'd love to fly for them, but unsure if I'd be able to make a living off of that.
