Agreed. They would be great planes--even with the different engines. Most of our heavy engine maint is outsourced so different engines isn't as big of an obstacle as it used to be.
But for that exact reason, I don't think Alaska will be looking to get rid of them any time soon. Way too soon to be speculating on that. After all, still has to meet all the regulatory requirements to be approved.
Jet Blue can't be happy. Maybe JetBlue/Spirit?
