117 defines the FDP and its legal application not the contract.
Apply Anderson...very clear "when a FDP has ended 117.25(e) Requires a flight crew member be provided with a 10 hour minimum...."
This is why the alpa guidance is unchanged to version 4.

Look at version 4, Q-13 A-13 and Q-17 A-17. APLA has applied the Anderson interpretation. Your FDP does not end till you time out or the company release you. So you call to check out and the company says go fly xxxx you have to do it via far 117.
