You may want to inquire though whether or not you get the payment at the same time as everyone else (2nd -3rd week of May for the first check of 2016) or if you get it when you come back on as active.
In addition, my understanding is that new hires are no longer receiving the retention bonus and are instead receiving a sign-on or new hire bonus after they complete training. They start receiving the retention year 2.
Can anybody confirm that?
New hires get the $3000 pay out at the end of OE, then for the rest of their first year their bonus checks are based off of a $20,000 annual payment. Year two and the rest of us get our bonus checks at a $23,000 annual rate, so this May we will get our first check of $7,666.66 before taxes and 2016 new hires will get a check for $6666.66 pro rated for how long they've been on property. Hope that helps!
