Yes IMA's are deployable, dependent on AFSC it could be mostly a volunteer thing. There is more of an argument not to deploy IMA's as their job is to backfill home stations. I am guessing you are currently in a 340th unit based on your screen name so no you won't be
that protected from invol. no other unit has an AFI that specifically prohibits non vol deployments.

IMA's get 24 IDT and 12 AT RMP and TEAPS are job dependent
