And I said nothing about not exploiting the contract. But when FOs are making more money than captains on a regular basis, there is something wrong with the contract. The occasional great month is one thing, but he said he regularly pulls down those kind of hours. That's wrong.
I'll buy that. What's your fix? If the E190 CA rate is less than the 777 FO is that OK? If we took back all brand flying would the Delta Elite Lear 35 left seat have to pay more than the 777 right seat?

I get what you are saying but where do we go from here? I would go fly a kite if it paid me enough and got me holidays and weekends off with a reserve loooong call of 30 days. It is pay, schedule, ego, time to retirement, previous military retirement/tri-care, family situation, and a variety of other things including the ability to maximize the contract that makes pilots bid the seat they want. I think those decisions are all valid on an individual level.

In 2014 I out earned a friend who took the first Captain upgrade he could. I guess a base with young crew members and a looming divorce will do that. We flew the same airplane just different seats and bases. Chicks dig four stripes, mine just happen to be stealth black.
