They may be "your' top pick, but who is to say you would be a pick of theirs? As far as you know, they could tell you to take a flying leap and you would be filling out applications to sell concrete paver's at a Lowe's somewhere?
This type of thinking is absolutely baffling.
Everyone has favorites, nothing wrong with that. But I think that one should be realistic. You can have top picks but that doesn't exactly mean that I feel entitled to be chosen to work for those companies.
I subscribe to the belief that you should go with the legacy that chooses you. I'll apply to them all. But those two, just happen to be my top two.
