I said that's my last day and the CD said something like "yeah, 1400 SC really doesn't make sense on your last day but I got you till 2400 so after the last flight you can call for release". So I guess they did notify me in a round about way.
well let that be a lesson to you....never ask any questions..accept the assignment and move on. They want to put you on SC at 1400 (odds are they wont remember to call you the next day and tell you to stay on call) let them and take the hour of pay for basically nothing.
One thing to keep in mind if you call to get released early, it could affect your position on the FIFO list for your next reserve block...if that is important to you.
