This also does not mean that we automatically achieve full retro this time either. If we get a contract within a year I would say full retro is a slam dunk. 1-2 years probably. Longer than that and it gets a lot tougher.

Exactly correct. The longer you go past your amendable date, the less your chances of getting full retro. The last time my company went past our amendable date they would have had to cut me a check of close to $75K. As I recall we got a $15K "signing bonus."
