Easy way to see this quickly is yahoo finances.

DEC 13,2015 DAL Total Liabilities are 42,284,000 Debt 6.XB
AAL Total Liabilities are 42,780,00 Debt 18.XB

You can dig deeper and see the break down..I was raised respecting ALL debt. The numbers do not lie no matter how hard people try to spin it.

It isn't nice, but most labor groups do not do much for retired members. Just sayin' that is how it usually works out. Moreso when the highest paid 5 to 10% is checking out annually. The ability to transfer that 10% or so of "retro" back to the voters is too strong an inducement to be charitable about (at least from what I've seen from the average guy).

Those who maximized the age 65 rule should probably not expect a whole lot of benevolence from those who stagnated patiently below. I don't blame senior guys for camping, hell, I will probably camp until 63. Just looking around and saying we would be really different from the average if we took money from the active list and sent retro to retired pilots.
It should absolutely be retro pay, even though I will see less of it. Many of the guys that voted no understood that they wouldn't be financially rewarded for making that choice. They were due to retire shortly and would have benefited immediately by voting yes but they held out to make the pilot group better in the long run.

Retro, without question...

Thanks 10. Didn't have time to look it up.

We should negotiate full retro, because many of those who are retiring voted "NO" on POS15. They supported the cause for a respectable contract and we have an obligation to them. Just because the company is disrespectful to pilots, doesn't mean we have to be that way toward each other.

Ed knows he giving a substantial payraises to us, now it's delay and negotiate the retro. Or trade retro for profit sharing. I'm voting no unless it's full retro, glove don't fit...
