No one person is an airline. An airline is a team. It must be friendly, courteous, cooperative, efficient and bound as closely as a devoted family."
C.E. Woolman
Does it feel like the Delta pilot's are part of Ed Bastian's team?
His compensation is up over 700% since Chapter 11.
What kind of leader negotiates in bad faith to keep his pilots working under bankruptcy concessions during 3 years of record Profits?
Time for the hollow platitudes to end. Talk is cheap.
Are we going to be a team or will greed destroy our future?

With internet web boards most people have the attention span of a teenager on Facebook, you need to start new threads every 8 seconds or no one notices. The strategy seems effective, we are discussing it. It works for Ed's news feed. Just ask him. (anything)

Ha! Good point though...I was hoping things would be different but it looks like E-Z ED is all too happy to break out the Lorenzo style playbook and put those uppity pilots back in their place.
Meanwhile, UAL, AA, and the ME3+NAI are nipping at our heels. It wouldn't be the first time an emperor fiddled while Rome burned down around him, but it is still worth a moment to acknowledge the indignation of such a bone-headed maneuver.

Did Mr Bastian really once say, and I paraphrase here, that what keeps him up at night is not having taken more from the pilots during BK? I've heard that multiple times, but have a hard time believing someone in upper management would go on record as saying something so inflammatory (even if it is what he believes, which I have no doubt it is, regardless of whether he said it or not)
