Having gone through my research a little over a year ago I came up with the following. The central Bucks County area of PA is about the nicest area in Eastern PA. Doylestown is the county seat and is the central hub of Bucks County. Some of the smaller towns surrounding Doylestown are very nice as well, especially if you are looking for something with more rural land like I am. The schools are top rated, the Doylestown area is very nice with historic charm and lots of bars, good restaurants, family activities. My only complaint is the property values are very high compared to what we were used to in Ohio. Taxes are high, but nothing like NY and NJ.
