Thanks. I think we had the same bus driver. Unfortunately, that reference focuses on duty parameters for field hotel standbys. The only reference I could find regarding trip guarantee is
4.0.4. If a pilot on base hotel standby blocks out on a trip, he shall earn the trip guarantee for that trip.
But the contract defines a difference between Base Hotel Standby and Field Hotel Standby in places like the section you reference, so I'm not sure it is accurate to assume section 4.O.4 includes Field Hotel Standbys.
I'll go with your second suggestion and email the folks in crew pay.
