I have had a pretty good career. I only sat sideways for 5 and a half years on the 727. In that respect I have no complaints. I am also a deadzoner. I do not have the luxury to wait several years for a deal. Newhires do. Just recently flew with a young man that has a captain bid and has been here significantly less than 5 years. Significantly. Mainline captain, mainline rates. Hard for me to see where in any of this he will have been harmed. I am happy for him. I am not happy if his generation is the one you are talking about having the 'resolve', because it will be MY generation that gets thrown under the bus. And my 'perspective' is every bit as valid as the bnext guy's. To say it isn't is myopic at best, and insulting at worst.
