That's what a lot of people said in 2007....

The $!tty part of this industry is we are only one 9/11 or recession away from the music stopping again. Then there's the talk of age 67, or God knows 68 or 70. A combination of those things and pilots will be back on the streets again. Hopefully we never see another perfect storm of bs like we had last decade, but we never know what the future has in store.

To the OP- I went to the regionals for a similar reason. I needed more jet time to advance my career flying corporate, and I wasn't getting it fast enough flying ~200 hours per year. I Went to the airline where I could be based at home and build time fast, and didn't do tons of research past that. After a few months at the airlines I decided that airline flying is where I belong, and I have no desire to go back to corporate flying. Now I'm having serious buyers remorse about the airline I picked. If I had planned to stay 121 I would have picked somewhere with different equipment and career progression opportunities, but after being at my company it's hard to leave behind 1.5 years seniority and start at the bottom (remember seniority is king in 121). Just my $.02.
