Here's a question: Why does ALPA see it as
THEIR job to fight NAI? Why don't we just leave it up to mainline airline management to fight "unfair" competition? A.P.A, S.W.P.A., A.F.A., and others don't appear to give two schits about NAI. Why does ALPA have their shorts in such a bunch over this.
More importantly, why won't ALPA pick a fight that (1) they can WIN and (2) will improve the lives of
ALL of its members? Why is ALPA not demonstrating the same fervor and using the same resources (that they are wasting on NAI), to get us out of the ridiculous and antiquated Railway Labor Act?
You want to talk about "unfair" practices? Let's talk about the way airline management
s have unfairly used the RLA to stall contract negotiations for up to a decade for some pilot groups, knowing that their employees hands are tied and negotiating positions are severely limited. THAT,..... is a PAC that I could get behind!
Until ALPA starts fighting for the regionals,....... they shouldn't be begging for money from the regionals.
