Being low in seniority will be relative, and impossible to predict. About the only thing you can count on is not being able to get MSP your first go-round. Having said that, I know of a new hire who was 22 that got MSP. So while not common, it CAN happen. Anything can.
In a way you are both right. They are grouping three classes together, so yes the bottom of the beginning of May class trumps the other two classes when grouped together.
Moving forward the next class that starts will bid, aircraft is the deciding factor. They will have to wait for two more classes to find out their bases. Positive they are going to most likely get the base they want if they chose the right aircraft, negative they will be waiting almost two months to find out their bases.
In consideration of the last award, there was a total of around 5 900's for MSP and no 200's. Most likely next month will change...
