Have you used PBS as a junior guy? The junior guys I've spoken with said that PBS, in general, gives them the days off they want. Another guy said he's a minimum commute guy first and PBS provides that. And PBS generates more lines which allows guys the option of being a junior line holder vs being on reserve.
They've grumbled about PBS but have said they'd prefer to never go back to paper bidding.
Never really used it as a junior guy, so I got spoiled on the system. If I wasn't doing 6-8hr credit local trips three days a week for the month, it was a kick in the nuts for me. Guys knew when I screwed up my bid if they ever saw me doing an overnight!

Even as a junior guy now, I'm really looking forward to PBS. I'll probably be flying more crap trips, but I'll have a lot more of my desired days off and a better overall schedule.
