High property taxes? In Florida? I have 12 acres with a house and I pay $1600/year. Zero state taxes. Deductibility of state taxes still means that you are paying tax albeit "locally" rather than to Uncle Sugar. It is not a net benefit to the bottom line.
In Florida they bilk the tourists to fill the state government coffers.
