Looks like I have an October class date. I'm hearing that I will most likely get a Caribbean base but who knows. I live in CT. Do any current or former Cape pilots commute to the carribean from the northeast? How viable is this? How much time off per week will I get?

I've also been hearing some mixed things about FO training and high failure rates. Do you suggest I go get IFR current before class?
