Reminds me of when I first checked out in the right seat of the 727. We were going into CMH or maybe DAY, either way, I'd never been in there before, so when ATC clears us down to 3000, I got right on down. I'm scanning the horizon (daylight, but hazy) and I can't see an airport anywhere in the general direction.
I look over at the Captain and ask, "You ever seen this place before?".
He just smiles and says, "Not from this angle..."
We were about 30 miles out and about 2000' agl.

Thank God for magenta lines and green arcs!
