Probably the same way thousands of other 1st year FOs have. I don't know the posters exact situation, but there's also some new hire and retention bonuses out there. Depending on one's DOH some people are collecting both.
^^^^Exactly, what's different about that rate than what folks have been making for the past 20 years starting out. Seems pretty doable to me...having done it several times myself and lived just fine and within my means.
