@aviatorhi Good to hear. Sounds like your crew "got it". Whatever "it" is. I'll try to clear it up. Hears the deal. Omni doesn't spoon feed or coddle any one at all. If in training you show that you are putting in the effort and working hard they (the training dept) will work with, and for you. If you have an entitled attitude or think you are going to skate by you are sh1t outta luck. And for good reason. We don't want that attitude around here. Everyone in our class studied and flew the paper tiger every night and we got through. These things are non-negotiable; systems knowledge inside and out, limitations, call outs, memory items, flows, simulator choreography and ability to fly and keep an airplane upright. Get these down pat and you'll be ok for the sim checks and do fine in IOE. It's all in the effort. Anyone can get through and accel here, or anywhere for that matter, you just have to work hard. I'm not sure how the regional's train but if they do any type of "helping you along" it will be very different here. Don't expect any of that. Also, it is the opposite end of the spectrum from an FSI or Simuflight training environment. You should show up for every sim session overly prepared and have flown it at least ten times already on the poster or you'll get scrutinized. They expect that sort of homework. Omni is hiring captains. They will remind you of that during training. Command the airplane and the crew and know your sh1t and you'll do alright. The type of flying we do here requires it. This is not gate to gate LGA to CLT or whatever. You will actually make real safety of flight decisions, out on your own in the middle of nowhere on the other side of the world.
