If AAG is willing to pay for an aging aircraft inspection for some if these birds... they can continue on...right now at least four are already hacked up for parts....three more are being put in long term storage...but not the desert...
I jumpseated on an AirWisky flight once to CLT, the planned fuel over destination was 1450 lbs (we landed with 1500 lbs). I couldn't believe it, if that is normal then I believe the fuel savings part.
