Even USAA's insurance has turned to crap. They tried to raise my homeowners insurance almost 2K, claiming that building costs had gone up massively since the 5 years that we bought our house (complete BS). I started checking out other companies, found Armed Forces Insurance, who only insure military. They are inexpensive, competent, and much like USAA used to be. Switched to Geico for auto insurance, halved my rates.
And when you cancel all USAA insurance, they finally send you the subscribers savings account check they've been keeping in that little account for you, in our case, I think it was 3K. So glad to be free of USAA.
