Meh, I saw a crew (mostly captain) arguing with a red coat to let them into the SIDA area and the red coat wouldn't do it. Was making some ridiculous argument, but you bet I made sure I got that door closed before I left. I've seen their base management let them into the hallway, seems like that's their best route to get in.
As per DTW PD the Skywest crew member has to be in uniform and only another Skywest crew member or management type can piggyback them in or out.
