I just brought a 200 out of OKC on Saturday that had just finished it's heavy check after two years in the desert. We had 5 write-ups by the time we got it to DTW and we burned/lost 1300lbs of fuel over plan on the way home. The MX guys have their work cut out for them and I can't even begin to imagine how expensive it is to get these things serviceable again. I hope at some point soon we cut our losses and just start operating 700's for the 200 market.
I just flew with the captain on that flight yesterday and he said it was the scariest thing that's happened to him.
