If you have not received a reassignment prior to commencement of the sterile period, as determined by the CA, you are done! You do not have to go fly an additional assignment that FDP. If you are a reserve pilot, and have additional days on reserve, then you are required to check you schedule upon arrival. They will routinely assign you are RAP, reserve availibilty period, or you may have flying for the next day. I hope this helps.
So let me get this straight, can they assign you additional flying for your current DP, if it's done before the commencement of the sterile period? If so, that pretty much sucks. Bad enough that we have to check our schedule for the next day now, but this would be terrible. Right now (LUS for the rest of this month at least). There is no reassignment by ACARs, we don't have to check our schedule at block in or at 1500 HBT. When we get done...we are done and don't have to answer the phone for 12 hours. Matter of fact, I will already have my JS booked, and head home as quickly as possible.
