Just to clarify, as weird as it might sound, I actually meant it. If DFW is your priority go to Envoy.

I keep hearing that the ExpressJet 145 DFW base is going to close soon. Wasn't it supposed to be a temporary base from the beginning anyways?

ExpressJet L-ASA also have a CRJ-200 base at DFW, I don't know much about it. But aren't the CRJ side and the ERJ side at ExpressJet pretty much 2 completely different airlines?

Mesa has a CRJ900 base there, which could potentially stick around longer than the ExpressJet CRJ and ERJ bases. But I can tell you first hand that Mesa is not so great of a company to work for, particularly at DFW. Mesa only truly works for a very specific group of individuals.

Envoy is the only American WO at DFW (AA's largest hub, and headquarter city...). They have a very long history at DFW and are also headquartered in the city. Also, unlike ExpressJet in IAH, they are not a 50-seater only airline, and are taking E-175 deliveries. I think is pretty safe to say that if DFW is your priority Envoy is the logical choice. Like I said Envoy is DFW's regional.
