I live just over the NJ/PA line near Allentown PA. Besides rush hour traffic, the drive is 2 hours and 15 minutes to JFK. My question is does anyone else do this? I understand I will have to get a crash pad because I'm just outside the call out for reserve and I don't want to drive that everyday. But how bad is the drive? I already have a CJO at Endeavor and I am also considering Piedmont (1.2 hours from PHL). Current 135 guy here and never did 121.
I drive from Philadelphia. I usually bid late shows so I end up leaving at like 10-11 so I miss most traffic. Takes me about 2:15-2:30 to parking lot. Then the air train and the long walk to the terminal. It's ok considering it's only a few times per month. You can fly from Philadelphia but there are only a few flights a day because it's so close.
