Yes, I'm flexible given that I have a one-legger to 5 domiciles. However, the other 4 are near 2 hour legs and DCA is closer to 1 hour. But as I understand it (I'm retired mil and new to 121), there's more to QOL than just the commute time. I'm looking for the other tangibles/intangibles to consider (how much reserve flying, crashpad quality/cost, pain of flying out of that area, etc.). Appreciate it!
We do some EWR and ORD flying. That may make things easier for you in terms of bumping off other people. I stayed in LGA and EWR crashpads, they are in the range of $250/month. I'd go with places that have more flights than just a geographical distance to be honest with you.
Regardless of anything, you will be a commuter. I'd say EWR / LGA will work better for you than DCA.
