From my knowledge and experience regarding the EFB program, the company can't rely on hotel wifi for us to update charts/manuals. The company has to provide means of use updating while on the clock. We aren't to be expected to keep anything up to date when we are not on duty, as that is an administrative duty as defined by 117 (In my opinion at least).

I would not be surprised one bit if the trial program was held over or extended months and months because of PSA's lack of give a crap regarding getting wifi in the crew bases. They are pretty nonchalant about a majority of the issues, so this one is coming together about par for the course.
