I'd be cautious about jumping to Atlas for the type rating. We don't award points by aircraft type through the application scoring process. Even if we did, the -400 is a dying fleet that no future no hires would touch before it's gone on 2018. However, the experiences and challenges faced at an ACMI would likely be beneficial to talk about in the interview process. However there still remains that issue of getting the call to interview.
On a side note, I'm really amazed to see many experienced pilots ready to jump from a ULCC or a foreign carrier to the likes of Commutair in hopes of getting through the CPP. I don't know what to make of it... Impatiences or a tactical career gamble?
