A CA on let's say 3rd year pay that is still on reserve will make $69 an hour x 75 hours a month x 12 months = $62,100 a year. So a second year FO can make more than a 3rd year CA? I know it's only for one year the FO gets that bonus but still. Also there is no difference in pay from an FO thats on 2nd year pay and 3rd year pay. Too all the FOs that are on 3rd year pay and about to upgrade let that sink in. Second year FOs will make the same as you while you're an FO and even the first year you upgrade. Sounds like also if you don't upgrade by the time they sign this in you won't even get the $7500 retention bonus for CAs.
You are correct, it all depends how you run the numbers.
Basically all NON first year f/o' would go to 4th yr pay and are maxed out if not wrong, there is a 4 yr pay cap for f/o's. first year f/o's go to 38.50 p/hr, then after first year they go straight to 4th yr pay, raise of 1.78 p/hr and they sit there until upgrade.
