United has recently launched a new training program with the Lufthansa flight training center in Arizona. United screens potential student pilots, sends them through flight school and after the student instructs for 18 months they go to United mainline. My friend is an instructor there and has a class date already. While I agree Frontier makes sense, I do know United is concerned and taking steps.
