I'm not sure where you're getting that the schedules at PSA are bad, I have some of the best scheduling flexibility in this industry. Want to credit 100+ hours with 11-13 days off? You can do it. Want to have 17-19 days off crediting 65-75 hours? You can do that too. Want weekends off? Not a big problem.
