The electronic/digital logbook is great but it depends on your starting point. If you have to go back just a few years, it's probably not too time consuming but if you have more than a decade or two, it could be quite cumbersome. Then again you can just start using the app, with the hours you currently possess, assuming they are all in sync. Alternatively, there are services that can update everything for you at a cost.
