Sort of. Officially, they are spares, I think. "Permanent spares" They have been sitting for a couple months now. Others are in maintenance for new engines. But yes, we have several airplanes that are not flying "much" because we don't have the crew to fly them.
With the number of new pilots that we have coming to upcoming classes, we will be able to cover more flying, which will mean more captain upgrades and more line holding pilots.
