At risk of further derailing the XJT thread..
In reference to the previously mentioned "we've been here before only to have the rug pulled out". Have we really been here before? Has the demand for pilots ever honestly been this bad? With each of the legacies needing something like 700/year for the next 10 years and not to mention all the others that need to do such aggressive hiring just to keep up, is this uncharted territory?
