The problem with using attrition outside the flow is that you assume the 8-10 /month are always senior to you. It just doesn't work that way. As you gain seniority that 8-10 number becomes more and more irrelevant.
Between the September and October seniority lists 25 pilots left the company. I'm right at 50% on the list and 12 of the above pilots were senior to me.
