If you a buy an international travel plug set it will probably come with a converter as well. Your biggest problem is if you have any 3 pronged plugs, as most outlets only have two. That is easily fixed by putting in a two prong adapter and letting the ground just stick out. That all being said, I use the adapters all the time, but have never used the converter. That may explain why my laptop charger quit.
Most hotels seem to have at least one USA-style plug or adapter in the room, if they don't you can usually get one from the front desk.
More importantly, you need to buy/rig an adapter for the cockpit if you're going to the Maddog. That way you can use your laptop to accesss important company information that may be stored on said laptop.
