Before you too high up on your soapbox, realize that other MECs don't share the same IT platform/versions as UAL and you really haven't "identified the problem". DAL MEC got smart years ago and implemented adiquate tech on their own, but, that's not the sole answer for UAL.
The problem IS Herndon, they control the membership database and thus the integrated logon. The PDR platform, which is also a flawed IT tool, relies on integrated log on. Until the United MEC demands better IT from Herndon, nothing will change. This isn't a case of simply copying what DAL has done. UAL MEC won't abandon PDR (nor should it) and Herndon only has to outlast the current MC.
