Ha! If you do that I can guarantee at my outfit you'll get a meeting in the CPO and the "don't ever do that again" threat. Not to mention the loss of pay that WILL occur if they do remove you.

We have no authority at the gate. We can't even hold or stop boarding after we discover a maintenance item that we think will ground the aircraft or unsure of the outcome.
