Mesa isn't my first choice, just considering it in case others don't work out.

Here's the thing, if I did get hired at Mesa, I'd do it only for ORD. That means only the CRJ.

My understanding is that Mesa no longer assigns people to Kansas (Air Midwest), and that Air Middy is doing their own hiring... so if you get hired, you're going to PHX for training in DH8/ERJ/CRJ.

So that's why I asked the question of airplane selection. Everyone keeps saying that ORD and IAD are pretty junior, so should have no problem getting ORD.

BUT, that's predicated on the fact that I can get the CRJ from the get-go.

If I get the ERJ, that won't have a ORD base. I think that's JFK, IAD, ATL, MCO, and maybe one more?

I don't know any DH8 bases.

So I guess here's what I am saying. I'd consider Mesa as my Plan C, and only if I can get ORD. That ALL starts with whether or not I can get the CRJ. If I can get the CRJ, and get assigned IAD, that's ok, I can bid over to ORD. But if I get the ERJ/DH8, then seatlock/fences would prevent me from getting the CRJ and getting ORD without commuting.
