It's because they don't get paid block or better, all my friends are there and I quote "even if we're late we still fly slow, we only fly fast when we're going home" this has started to be real pesty going into dtw when you're doing Mach .82 and get slowed to .74 or less while behind Skywest. One of the reasons they had a rash of low speed events a year or so ago. I just wonder what they're filled at, because I've never heard them advising ATC of a much slower true airspeed. It's kinda funny though when you're creeping up on them. ATC says, Skywest ___ say indicated. Um, 250 knots. What do you need?
